TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Event duration
Details of event duration given on the website and elsewhere are a guide only. Classes are planned on the times specified, but naturally, there may be delays, curtailments or breakdowns that are not within our control. You agree that we shall not be held liable for variations in event time and duration.
Payments
All payments should be made in full at the time of booking. We do not take provisional bookings and cannot confirm your place on a course, until we receive full payment.
Validity (In person) cookery vouchers
Vouchers purchased from Swaledale Thai Cookery are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue and the cookery class must have been attended by the expiry date. Should you need to extend the validity of your voucher, then this must be done before the voucher expiry date.
The cost of extending the voucher is £35 which must be paid at the time of extending the voucher, where upon the voucher will be extended for a further 3 months.
Gift vouchers are sent via email but can be posted for a small charge.
Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations made by customers more than 28 days from the start of the course will be offered a refund less a £35 administration fee.
Cancellations made by customers within 28 days from the start of the course are not entitled to any refund.
A customer must give at least 72 hours notice if they wish to postpone their course, otherwise a £35 fee will be charged.
If a person booked onto a course fails to attend for any reason, they will not be entitled to a refund or a re-booking of another course/date.
Refunds are not available on gift voucher purchases. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods.
Please note that if there are 4 or less people on a course, we have the right to postpone the course and offer an alternative date.
General
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.
All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes. We cannot admit you to the cooking school without proper footwear.
We recommend wearing sensible clothing and we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing or to be held responsible for any personal items.
Aprons will be provided on the course.
Long hair should be tied back in the kitchen. All participants will receive a short briefing on health and safety before commencement of the course.
Special dietary requirements
All participants must advise the Swaledale Thai Cookery School at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements, food allergies or religious beliefs that may affect their eating habits.
The Swaledale Thai Cookery School is unable to tailor course content for special dietary requirements, but is happy to make arrangements, where possible, to enable students to take part in the course.
Please note that the kitchen is used for many food purposes and therefore participants with severe food allergies, eg nuts, must please telephone the school when making a booking to discuss the ingredients used in the kitchen.
We cannot be held liable for any traces found that may affect a participant if we have not been made aware of any such allergies.
Liability
The school will not be help responsible for the loss of any personal possessions.
The school will not be liable for any loss suffered by you resulting from any event which is beyond the reasonable control of the school.
Copyright and acceptance usage
Full copyright of the course content developed by Swaledale Thai Cookery is retained by the cooking school.
Course notes, recipes and reference materials are provided to support participants in their ongoing cookery development and are for personal use only.
By participating, you consent to photo images being taken to be used ONLY in advertising the cooking school, social media and website.
